CSS Encryption

When submitting CSS encrypted masters, please indicate which of the following applies:

  • The encryption keys are present on the DLT
  • The encryption keys are present on a customer supplied floppy disc
  • Amtech is to provide the encryption keys - please indicate the following:
    • Total number of VTS (Video Title Sets)
    • Total number of VTS for each DLT - DVD-5 and DVD-10
    • In the case of DVD-9, the total number of VTS for both DLTs combined

DVD-Audio spec

DVD-Audio is a different product that plays on special DVD-Audio players. DVD-Audio does not play back on a standard DVD-Video player.

DVD-Audio contents are stored in the AUDIO_TS folder on the DVD disc.

DVD-Audio permits multichannel sound in PCM (uncompressed) format up to 24 bit at 192 kHz sampling rate. Meridian Lossless Packing can be used to increase the storage capacity.

Sample rate: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 kHz
Sample size: 16, 20, or 24 bit

Maximum total bitrate is 9.6 Mbit/second for PCM audio

Channels: 6 for sample rates up to 96 kHz, 2 if the sample rate is 176.4 or 192 kHz.

CD-Audio is always in 44100 HZ/16 bit format. To use on a DVD-Video, it must be resampled into the 48000 Hz sample rate. We offer top quality resampling.
