Originally sold as a six song cassette for his 2016 tour, Simon Cameron has repressed SIMONSONGS as a boastfully lavish 14 song, 60 minute compilation album in the form of the intriguing but often misunderstood cassette tape, with songs — some finished, some in the form of demos — off all three of his as-of-yet unreleased albums (“A Promise,” “Homoti,” and the cutely titled swansong “Cupid Boy”). An arguably challenging listen with songs from juvenilia as well as adulthood, listeners can hear Simon’s songwriting grow, blossom and mature as the reels spin and the music spills from your headphones or speakers.

SIMONSONGS is a completely homemade tape, lovingly duplicated in real time at home, two at a time, using cassette tapes of all colors and two audiophile cassette decks.
