Analogue Capture 930 Reel to Reel Audio Tape, 1/4" x 3600 Feet on NAB Hub

Im new to tape, and am no expert, but the tape seems high quality to me. Sounds very vibrant and certainly better than the re-recorded stuff ive been playing with. I also cant express how awesome it is the Toronto location is right by my work. Not easy to find new tape at a decent price so that was a real bonus. The pancakes are sturdy, and i was able to easily transfer it using my machine to an old reel that couldnt be openned normally. I plan to buy more for sure.

Just bought a vintage AKAI reel to reel that came with two 10” reels full of old tape. Got rid of the old tape and started searching on line for new tape. Was surprised to find a source right here in Ontario Canada to my delight. Ordered two 1/4 x 3600 ft on a nab hub and transferred them to two empty metal reels and started recording some vinyl. They sound great and will not hesitate to order more. Thanks.

I use this tape stock on my Otari MX5050 half-track at 15ips and it is beautiful to record with.
It calibrates well (good bias) and I normally can push it to about +6dB without any problems. Time will tell though ;)

Very satisfied; thought price was competitive. Previous purchase was from Europe so very happy with this supplier. Was cautious but glad I found this shop and took a chance. Would have appreciated a better anticipated 'delivery date'.

Very bad tape, I couldn't use in my studio (Studer A820/A80)

The tape has curvaceous profile, not flat. It means the tape experienced overpull tension before. Quality of record is ok.

It's.maybe to soon for a review, I will edit this one later.I will say they were good sports about replacing a pancake of the stuff that I was getting bad results with in comparison to other tape used.
I'm not wealthy audiophile,I'm on a disability and these guys can relate that that pancake is not even salvageable and has a decent price tag on it so much appreciated in that regard, especially when it was a few months that had passed.

Capture tape is an excellent modern replacement for any tapehead,many of the older tapes are a problem and not worth the effort! For those wanting the true facts concerning this excellent product visit Tapeheads and read what the experts have to say. JT

Great sounding tape so far taped on both sides sounds great. Also priced right. The one with the reel same tape but price is high.

I decided I`m gonna go back to analog and over the last few years I re-purchased what I used to own back in the `80s to mid `90s. Reel to reels and cassette tape players are part of my home decor now and after spending some time to fix and clean all this equipment, I had no desire to use the 40 years old tapes that came with the reel to reels. Capture 930 tape 3600 ft is an amazing tape. Recommend this tape to anyone who`s into analog audio. It is also cheaper than buying from States. The pancake may be cheaper but add shipping and it will cost more than buying from this site.
