CMC PRO (formerly Taiyo Yuden) Value Line shiny silver CD-Rs offer the same high manufacturing quality as the regular TY CD-Rs. However it is likely that these discs will not burn at 48X speed and may have higher reject rates than Premium media. This value line media is great for silkscreening and burning mass quantities on duplication towers at 16X speed.
Non-suitable applications for Value Line media:
- high-speed burning at 32X or higher speed
- burning on disc publishers
- burning on old equipment
- archival use
For high-speed professional use on disc publishers, or for archival applications, we would recommend sticking with Premium CMC PRO media,
