Luxman 3 head cassette deck with HX-PRO, made in Japan.

This 3 head stereo cassette deck offers great recording and playback quality with the following features:
- 3 head system allows you to monitor the recording as you are recording it

- It has a recording bias button so you can record on high-bias tape loaded into colored normal-notch shells!

CUSTOM SPEED CONTROL MODIFICATION
These machines have a speed adjuster easily accessible from the bottom of the unit. This allows very fine adjustment of the speed.
 
Fine Bias Adjustment
Turning the knob CCW reduces the record bias resulting in a brighter sound. Turning the knob clockwise increases the bias, reducing distortion and high frequencies.
 
HEXALAM PERMALLOY 3 HEAD FULL MONITORING CONFIGURATION
The hard anti-wear surface, plus the laminated Hexalam low eddy current core, give high unsaturated recording levels coupled with low loss, long life performance. In addition, the Hexalam design, coupled with OFC (oxygen free copper) windings in the Record/Playback head, result in linear current flow and uniform magnetic flux in the gap for purest sonic quality.
 
MODIFIED TO RECORD ON TABS OUT CASSETTES
These machines record on tab out cassettes. Be careful not to erase valuable recordings.
 
CONDITION AND WARRANTY
AS-IS, FINAL SALE! No warranty at all except that we confirmed the machine powers up. It most definitely needs the belt installed in order to work. We will supply a new belt but you have to install it and then calibrate the speed. Allocate 1 to 2 hours to install the belt the first time you try it. The gear of the door is probably slightly to somewhat severly damaged, so the door may open with a rough jerky movement or need manual assistance. This is garage-sale quality and pricing so there are no refunds for any reason.
