What is an FAQ?
An acronym for frequently asked questions!
Why should we choose
your company?
Analogue Media Technologies (Amtech) has
been providing top quality manufacturing, printing and design
to the music, computer and business industries for more than 10
years. And unlike many of our competitors, we will still be in
business in another 10. As our previous and current customers
already know, when it comes to ensuring that your job meets or
exceeds your expectations, you can count on us to go that extra
mile.
How do you define customer
service?
We care about your projects and want you
to succeed! Our entire staff is accessible, friendly and eager
to assist you. Our goal is to give you the best buying experience
possible by helping you through every aspect of the manufacturing
process all while sharing insights that will help you avoid costly
mishaps.
What do I need to provide
in order to get started?
Master & photos and text for
our graphic designer or completed graphics & rights
to reproduce material & 50% deposit or approved credit
line.
Can you send me templates?
A vast array of precise templates are available
for download on our site under templates.
The majority are in EPS format and
there are also Corel Draw templates for the PC.
Why should I spend extra
money on the graphic design when my friend can do it?
Would you let your friend make your music
for you? Graphic design, sadly, is the last thing many musicians
think about, yet creates the first impression that people will
form of your project. We offer major label quality design
that helps capture the essence of what you're all about, at a
very competitive price. If you're serious about your product,
you simply should not overlook the importance of your design.
In addition, there are the technical challenges and there are
many. If your friend understands line screens, trapping, moire
patterns, CMYK, dot gain compensation etc., then by all means,
let him help you with your graphics. Digital prepress has a specific
protocol and if your friend doesn't get it right, it may look
bad or cost you money for us to fix it.
Do I need mastering from
you?
Mastering
is the icing on the sonic cake. It can bring to project to another
level with a relatively minor investment, and should definately
be looked into if you take your sound seriously. We do basic audio
mastering like level matching, fades, sequencing, noise reduction,
simple EQ and limiting. For project mastering we would be pleased to refer you to some specialists.
Can you send me samples
of your work, etc...?
We only keep, with the client's permission,
1 copy of their final product (you can be sure your CDs won't
end up in second hand CD stores when you press with us). Print
samples are available by request from your salesperson. There
may be a refundable $15 charge for overnight transport. Many of
our original design samples
can also be viewed here.
Do you have a printed
catalogue?
We keep our prices low because we focus
on the essentials. Catalogs cost a lot of money, and we'd rather
pass along the savings to you than print a big, glossy catalog.
What is an IPR form? Do I
need it?
A completed 'Intellectual Property Rights Form'
contains all the required information pertaining to your product,
including composers, song info, copyrights etc. It is mandatory
for every CD, DVD, VHS, and audio cassette order that is to be
reproduced.
Can I pay by check (or cheque)?
by credit card?
We accept an array of payment options - click here!
Can I apply for a line
of credit? Can I apply online?
Yes - fill out our
online form or ask one of our salespeople to fax or email
you a copy of our credit application. This is usually reserved
for corporate clients.
Can you ship anywhere?
We will ship anywhere in the world where
there is an actual street address (no P.O. boxes please)
I'm worried about my
product crossing the US border...?
We ship to the US every other day,
and have been doing so for the past 10 years. We handle all of
the paperwork and there is no hassle whatsoever involved for our
clients. You just need to have someone home or at the office when your order arrives!
What's the difference
between CTP and Films?
CTP is the new direct
to press technology that replaces the traditional process of creating
and separating films, giving you a faster turnaround, higher quality
and an easier workflow that provides more predictable results.
Do you give vendor's
discounts?
Yes - on applicable products. Pricing is
dependent primarily on volume and the frequency of orders.
